You can also delight in Vienna by attending a Ballet at the Wiener Staatsoper. An experience to be experienced, even for someone like me who does not particularly love Ballets, especially those with a brilliant repertoire.

Still, the January 20, 2017, the magic of an orchestra like that of the Vienna theater, conducted by Simon Hewett and what happened on the stage could only capture the ear and the eye, if not the heart, and put them at their service, with the immortal ballet The poorly guarded girl, performed with the historian choreography by sir Frederick Ashton from 1960 on music by Ferdinand Herold adapted from John Lanchbery after the 1828 version.

In this varied score, as always on the music of various authors, it was also a delight to discern between these Rossini, with transpositions from the Barber of Seville and Donizetti, with extensive ideas from L'Elisir d’amore

Rarely seen a dancer of the grace of Natasha Mair, Lisa, impalpable, weightless, almost flying. Italian is also extraordinary Davide Dato, Colas and funny and witty Roman Lazik come widow Simone, funny role en travesti; the whole Corps de Ballet was exceptional, which gave a performance of great technical and artistic stature, including the famous dance of hoofs on pointe, yellow in this case. The Vienna Ballet School ranks among the best in the world.

An experience definitely worth experiencing, waiting for Mozart's Don Giovanni coming soon in the Viennese theater, in an evening of relaxation and grace to be enjoyed.
